The development of adhesives, industrial repair agents, and sealants is closely related to the automotive, construction, electronics, aerospace, machinery, textile, footwear, packaging, metallurgy, papermaking, medical and health industries, and is directly applied in people's lives. With the improvement of China's environmental protection regulations and the improvement of people's own health awareness, environmentally-friendly adhesives with good quality, no pollution, and in line with international standards are gradually becoming the mainstream products of synthetic adhesives.
I. Backward species
Polyvinyl alcohol formaldehyde adhesive
Polyvinyl alcohol formaldehyde adhesive (107 adhesive) is mainly used for building decoration. This adhesive has been banned in developed countries because it contains free formaldehyde, which harms human health. In China, due to its low price, the amount of this product is still relatively large. With the increase of consumers' awareness of environmental protection and the strengthening of law enforcement by relevant departments, the amount of 107 glue will be reduced year by year. It is believed that it will be eliminated in the near future.
Neoprene adhesive
Neoprene is China's traditional bulk adhesive variety, commonly known as universal glue, mainly used in shoemaking, decoration and wood processing industries. Neoprene contains a large number of toxic organic solvents, and it has poor adhesion when used for new types of shoe materials such as soft PVC thermoplastic elastomers and polyurethanes, which is no longer suitable for the development needs of the shoe industry. In developed countries, safer polyester glues and hot melts have been used for shoe adhesives. In recent years, due to the increasing efforts to promote environmental protection regulations in our country, the amount of neoprene adhesives has been decreasing year by year.
Broad prospects
Water-based glue
Water-based adhesive does not contain organic solvents and has no pollution. It is an environmentally friendly adhesive product. In recent years, water-based rubber has developed rapidly in China, with an average annual growth rate of 18.4%, which is one of the fast-growing rubber types. At the same time as output increases, product quality is constantly improving and varieties are increasing. Some high-tech, good-performance adhesives are constantly emerging, such as milky with good cold and water resistance, organic modified acrylic architectural emulsion with good scrub resistance, pollution resistance and water resistance. At present, in addition to the commonly used acrylic, polyvinyl acetate and VAE emulsions, the research and development of polyurethane emulsions have also made progress and will have good development prospects.
2. Hot melt adhesive and hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive
The melt glue has no pollution, rapid curing, and wide bonding surface, which is suitable for continuous production and convenient for storage and transportation. This product has developed rapidly in recent years, with an average annual growth rate of output of 30.1%, which is the fastest growing variety in China. In developed countries, hot-melt adhesives (including hot-melt pressure-sensitive adhesives) have accounted for more than 20% of the total synthetic adhesives, while China accounted for only 3%.
3. Polyurethane adhesive
Polyurethane adhesives are widely used in shoes, construction, automobiles and other fields. Due to their excellent properties, they are considered to be one of the most promising rubber types in China. In developed countries, shoe manufacturers use polyurethane adhesives, and construction sealants mainly use silicone and polyurethane adhesives. In addition, polyurethane adhesives are also used in food packaging and magnetic tapes, which are widely used.
4. Organic Silicone Adhesive
Organic silicone adhesives are widely used in developed countries. Silicone sealants are the largest variety of adhesives, accounting for about 30% of total sealant consumption. The amount of silicone adhesive used in our country is small, but it has grown rapidly in recent years. It is expected that the silicone sealant will become the dominant type of sealant for construction in China within 5 years.
5. Industrial repair agent
Industrial repair agent is a two-component or multi-component composite material composed of polymer composite or polymer and metal powder or ceramic particles. It is developed on the basis of the disciplines of polymer chemistry, colloid chemistry, organic chemistry and material mechanics The high-tech disciplines can be widely used in the fields of foundry metallurgy, machinery and equipment, electronics, electricity, printing and dyeing, chemical industry, mining, automotive, shipbuilding, aviation and other fields. |
